Shuttleworth Collection Biggleswade The Shuttleworth Collection depicts the history of flight from the early 1900 to the 1950’s and shows how the aircraft operated in the pioneering years, was rapidly developed through necessity during World War I, was used for sport, pleasure and business in the 1920s and 30s and once again became a fighting machine in World War II. part of the history of Fullers Hill Farm, Lt Gransden. The Jefferies family have always been very proud of their heritage and past. The late Harold Gadson Jefferies served in the trenches in WW1. Its not known how he gathered together the capital to purchase the farm in 1923, which was initially 270 acres arable and live stock. Grandfather was always very proud to exhibit the farm produce at the agricultural show. Gransden and District Agricultural Society Annual Show was established in 1891.
