opened for business with its first guests on the 25th August 2012, all apartments taken for the weekend of the Children in Need air display that’s held annually at Lt Gransden. After the display on the Sunday everyone enjoyed themselves at the post show party into the early hours on the airfield. Bank holiday Monday is always a lazy start to the day with the campers on the airfield stiring approx 8am, gradually the girls wake and breakfast gets going around about 9:30. Coffee, bacon and eggs cooked “in the wild” under the trees behind the hangars is a rather pleasant affair. The airshow aims are to raise money for local kids charities and Children In Need run by the BBC. In 2012 we raised £24,652.90 for CIN in addition to amounts given to the local villages.
