At Fuller’s Hill Cottages we have two cottages that have disabled access: The Stables and The Tack Room. These two lovely cottages have been rated under the National Accessible Scheme, Visit England, as suitable for ‘Part-time wheelchair users’ and ‘Older and less mobile guests’, respectfully.
We can also make bespoke items to make your stay more accessible and user friendly. For example, perhaps you rely upon a hoist to help you into bed. We can purposefully make some blocks to help raise the bed in order for the hoist to fit underneath. Whatever your requirements or needs, we can help make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. We have also prepared an Access Statement, which includes information about accessing our cottages along with accessible information on transport, venues and useful contacts in and around Cambridge.
If you would like to make a booking for any of our cottages, please call Jenny directly on 07544 208959.
Disabled Access Day on the 17th January 2015 is all about getting out there and trying something new. It could be a new cafe or a new cinema! The organisers want people to try places that they have never been to. Attractions and venues can also get involved and use this day to show off their disabled access.
Anyone can take part in Disabled Access Day no matter where they live. You simply need to visit somewhere you have never been before on the 17th of January 2015.
Whatever you do for Disabled Access Day, make sure that you share your experiences by telling your friends or through social media. By talking and tweeting about great disabled access, more and more businesses will realise that by improving their accessibility they will attract new customers. The message of Disabled Access Day is simple: Get exploring!
