The Old Dairy accommodation is located in the very oldest part of the original barn, built in the 1700s.
It features a functional kitchen with all the usual appliances, plus a microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a six seater dining table. The living room has a large comfortable sofa, which converts to a small double bed, a flat screen TV with free-view channels, Blu-ray DVD player, and free WI-FI.
Upstairs there are two good sized bedrooms, one with a superking size bed and the other two singles which can be set as a double on request.
There is a modern, spacious shower room with hand basin and wc.
From this apartment there are views to the airfield and this has been reflected by some aviation themed items, such as a polished propeller on the wall, interesting photographs taken from the air and a coffee table featuring an aeroplane engine. This apartment really reflects the farm’s transition from a traditional 1950s arable and pastoral farm to a modern agricultural endeavour – in the 1960s the Jefferies used aerial crop spraying techniques for a time, combining their interest in flying with their agricultural work. If you have any flying enthusiasts in your party, this is definitely the apartment for you.
