Christmas Lights On Saturday 20th November The Grand Arcade will be welcoming the start of the festive season by turning on their Christmas lights at The Big Switch On event. The festivities begin at 11.15am, with BBC Radio Cambridgeshire presenter, Jeremy Sallis introducing acts including talented X Factor contestant Abbie Dhese-Biggs singing with her guitar. Followed with seasonal numbers from choirs, including John Lewis’ own cappella choir, and orchestras galore. A special dance extract from Cambridge Theatre Companies’ Christmas tear jerker; Goodnight Mr Tom, will leave you with that joyous Christmassy feeling. The Christmas Lights will be officially switched on at 4pm. Come down and see the confetti canons go off and the prancing reindeer and Santa’s sleigh light up the shopping centre for the start of the yuletide season.
