The Tack Room features a functional kitchen, equipped with a dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, oven and hob, cooking utensils and cutlery, glass and tableware. Access to the communal laundry room is available which also has a freezer. A dining table is located close to the kitchen. In the lounge areas we have soft comfortable sofas a large flat screen TV with free-view channels, Blu-ray DVD player, free WI-FI throughout the apartment, a music docking station. Our bathrooms feature clean modern design with tiled walls and floors, hand basin, shower and toilet. The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a King size bed and the other with two single beds, which can easily be joined together to form a super King size double. Our beds are dressed with Egyptian cotton linen encasing feather pillow and duvets, all placed onto of a luxury mattress. In the bedroom areas we have ample storage in the form of hanging space and drawers. The apartment has a hair dryer, iron and ironing board and access to a communal laundry machine facility where you can find a vacuum and clothes dryer.
The whole apartment is situated where the farm’s working shire horses’ tack and harnesses were kept until the 1960s. We have retained a sense of the apartment’s original, historic purpose in the master bedroom, where we have reconditioned the harness stands to display an antique harness that was used on the farm and black bridle hooks.
A refreshing blue and cream colour scheme has been followed throughout the apartment, providing a relaxing yet contemporary atmosphere. The swallows on the curtains reflect our dearly loved summer visitors which swoop and dive for insects around the farm. This apartment also has access to a patio area, built around a millstone that was originates from Jordans’ Mill in Biggleswade (which incidentially has become the highly successful Jordans’ cereal company now!).
